We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership that will make GCSE and A Level Music qualifications more accessible and affordable for private candidates, or those in mainstream education where music is not an option.
By combining the expertise of music teacher, Debra Adamson-Bratland, with the examination services provided by arc exams, we can now offer a complete assessment solution for learners studying music outside of mainstream education.
Through this partnership, candidates will benefit from specialist online support for the practical elements of their qualification. Debra will oversee and assess the composition and performance components, providing professional guidance and ensuring all coursework requirements are met for the following specifications:
AQA A level Music (7272) and Pearson Edexcel GCSE Music (1MU0)
arc exams will administer and host the candidate entry and written examination, giving candidates access to a fully compliant examination centre with experienced invigilation and support throughout the exam process.
Together, we are removing many of the barriers that private candidates often face when trying to access music qualifications. Finding centres able to accommodate performance and composition assessments can be challenging and very expensive. By working in concert (pun intended!), Debra and arc exams are able to provide a streamlined, cost-effective solution that covers all aspects of the qualification in one place.
