Last month we published a blog announcing our examination entry fees would typically increase by 3% for this academic year. Increasing fees is always a difficult decision for us as we’re acutely aware most, if not all, of our customers receive no financial assistance to help pay for examination fees.
As a result, we looked at ways we could help reduce the financial burden of assessment, in particular the fees we charge for ‘supplemental examination services.’ One obvious area was ‘Post Results Service’ fees that candidates pay to request a ‘Review of Marking’ or access their scripts, post grading, to understand how their paper was marked and whether challenging the grade awarded would be worthwhile.
Given that all JCQ Awarding Organisations (AQA, Eduqas, Pearson Edexcel and OCR) have now removed the fee to electronically download copies of scripts we will pass that saving onto you. So, effective immediately, we have reduced our Post Results Service fees by between 19% and 50%. For example, ‘Clerical re-check with Script’ will now cost £35 per script compared to £65 previously. Script requests will cost £10 per script, half the fee charged last year.
Please note that for all Cambridge International ‘Enquiries About Results’ requests, fees charged will remain frozen as Cambridge International still make a charge for accessing scripts. Should that change in future, our charges will adjust accordingly.
Please be assured that in all instances, we only apply a modest fee to cover the administrative costs of providing Post Results Service & Enquires About Results you request.
