Thinking of Re-sitting?

If you have sat GCSE English Language and/or GCSE Mathematics, and not achieved the desired grade(s), you have the option to re-sit them in the Autumn examination series. The next opportunity to sit all other GCSE subjects and all A Level subjects will be Summer 2025.

Similarly, if you have sat International GCSEs and/or International A Levels with Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel, you may be able to sit them again in the Autumn series dependent on the subject. Not all subjects available in the Summer series are offered in the Autumn series. Details of subject availability in the Autumn examination series are available by clicking on the AO logo below.

If you wish to re-sit any subject examinations with arc exams in the Autumn series, you can do so via our online application form.  Entry deadline dates for Autumn examinations are detailed in our Fees List

When will I receive my certificate(s)?

Summer exam certificates are usually issued by Awarding Organisations, to the centre where you sat your exam(s), early November. We will despatch your certificates, Tracked 48 Service (not signed for), to the address specified on your exam application form unless you have notified us otherwise in writing. arc exams cannot be held liable for lost certificates if you have failed to notify us of a change of address.

And finally….

Should you wish to discuss your results, please contact the office. If, for any reason, you are unable to speak to a member of the team, please do not leave a telephone message, but email your query and request a call back.
