Over the past three years, arc exams has been proud to work in partnership with BioGrad Education to provide A Level Science Practical Endorsements (CPACs) for private candidates. Together, we have supported learners from across the UK, helping more than 315 candidates successfully complete the practical endorsement required for their A Level qualifications.
Having conducted an internal review, BioGrad Education has made the strategic decision to deliver CPACs exclusively from its Liverpool laboratories. As a result, our joint delivery of A Level science practicals has ended.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone at BioGrad Education for their professionalism, expertise and collaboration throughout this partnership. We would encourage any learner located in the North West of England, seeking a venue to host their A level Science practicals, to contact BioGrad Education.
Whilst this marks the end of one successful partnership, it also signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter for A Level Science practical delivery for arc exams.
We are delighted to announce that we have recruited our own experienced science tutors and will now be delivering A Level Science Practical Endorsements (CPACs) independently in our own ‘in-house’ laboratory facilities. This investment gives us greater flexibility, allows us to set our own fee structure (watch out for that forthcoming announcement!) and enables us to continue supporting private candidates with the high-quality service they have come to expect from arc exams.
Operating independently also opens up an exciting new opportunity. From Autumn 2026, arc exams will be expanding its practical science provision to include Cambridge International A/AS Level practicals, a service offered by very few private exam centres.
Our mission has always been to improve access to examinations and practical assessments for learners outside mainstream education. This latest development strengthens that commitment and ensures we can continue to grow our science offering while maintaining the personal service and flexibility that define arc exams.
